2.8L Air-cooled Waterboxer Race Engine Case

 

2.1L Waterboxer Case Modified by Rocky Jennings Enterprises, (509)525-7721.

Water jackets removed.

Head stud pattern moved out .050" and 2 extra studs added per cylinder.

Bored for 101.6mm (4") bore.

Clearanced for 86mm stroke.

Lifter bores bronze bushed for type 1 lifters.

Oil galley holes drilled, tapped & plugged.

Mains line bored and rear seal area cut for flanged seal.

Rear seal area modified for seal retaining ring.

Modified for oil sump.

Adjustable oil pressure relief.

FYI...The only advantage to the 2.1L case is if you must run a crank with either all type one mains or with type four center only.  1.9L has to use all type four mains, which is of course stronger.  Also the 1.9L cases are more plentiful (cheaper!)
